The Journey of Wellbeing | Event Highlights
Green International University successfully hosted a meaningful faculty training session under the visionary leadership and initiative of the Pro-Rector, reaffirming the University’s strong commitment to psychological wellbeing, inclusive education, and the development of a sustainable academic environment on campus.
The event was organized in collaboration with Abu Umara Medical & Dental College and Mind Organization, and was facilitated by the Serenity Support Center. It brought together faculty members from various disciplines for reflective dialogue, capacity building, and professional development, fostering a culture of care and continuous learning.
Session Theme: Teacher–Student Relationships as a Protective Factor for Students’ Psychological Health
The insightful session was led by Prof. Dr. Sa‘ad B. Malik, President of Mind Organization, who highlighted the pivotal role educators play in nurturing emotionally resilient, mentally healthy, and socially responsible students. He emphasized that strong and supportive teacher–student relationships serve as a protective factor for students’ psychological wellbeing.
The discussion further underscored how positive educational relationships contribute directly to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health & Wellbeing and SDG 4: Quality Education, by creating empathetic, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
Through this Pro-Rector’s Drive, Green International University continues to strengthen the bond between faculty and students while promoting sustainable institutional practices. By fostering trust, care, and wellbeing, GIU remains committed to building a healthy and supportive academic community.
