The purpose of this document is to establish general policy and procedure for collection of student fee etc., at Green International University (GIU).
This policy is applicable to students, parents/guardians and staff dealing with fee matters.
The fee shall be charged against the following heads at rates prescribed from time to time by the Competent Authority:
3.1 Security: A refundable security (once only) will be charged at the time of admission. Any amount recoverable from the student will be adjusted against security at the time of his/her withdrawal /passing out.
3.2 Admission Fee: A non-refundable admission fee (once only) will be charged at the time of admission from the student being admitted in any program.
3.3 Document Verification Fee: Document verification fee (once only) will be charged from student at the time of admission for verification of certificates/ degrees.
3.4 Semester Fee: Semester fee will be charged within 6 days after the commencement of each semester as mentioned under clause 6. Semester fee includes:
3.5 Hostel Fee (where applicable): Hostel fee will be charged monthly from the students availing the boarding and lodging facility of the University as prescribed under the rules.
3.6 Others: The fee will be charged for the following documents with the amount to be prescribed from time to time:
Fee structure of each degree program will be applicable as approved by the competent authority. Fee for any repeat course will be calculated on the basis of credit hour(s).
Applicants, who receive an offer of admission are required to pay their dues prior to commencement of classes as per the announced schedule in order to secure their admissions. The applicant who does not pay his/her dues within due date will forfeit his/her right of admission.
6.1. Semester fee will be received as notified.
6.2. 6.2. Fee challan will be available on LMS one week before due date. Further in case of any technical reason, student must collect fee challan from accounts counter without any delay well before due date. Student will deposit fee in the designated bank as mentioned at his/her challan.
6.3. 6.3. If a fee challan is lost by the student, he/she will have to pay a fine of Rs 100/- for each duplicate fee challan.
6.4. Fee Installment:

Default in one installment disqualifies the student from further installment facility.
6.5. Fee Extension:
Students unable to pay by the due date based on any genuine reason / special circumstances may apply for an extension subject to submission of application along with valid evidence minimum one week before the due date. Applications received after stipulated time will not be entertained.
In case a student fails to pay his/her dues by the specified date, late fee fine will be charged as under:

Late fee fine for applicant of scholarship/ financial aid will not be charged up to 10 days from the date of decision in which scholarship/ financial aid has been granted or rejected. After 10 days late fee fine shall be charged as per above schedule. It is only for those students whose application has been approved for current semester otherwise financial aid is only applicable with effect from next semester from the period he/she applied.
A) Defaulters of 100% fee may be allowed for late enrolment maximum four time for UG and two time for PG students only in an academic career with fine.
b) In case student fails to pay his/her 1st installment within due date, late enrolment is allowed with the special approval of his/her related Dean within 30 days of commencement of classes only, so the student can maintain his/her attendance up to 75%.
c) Payment of Rs. 6,000 late enrolment fine along with outstanding dues will be paid by the student. It is only for the non-payment of 1st instalment within due date.
d) After 30 days of commencement of classes, enrolment may be allowed only for special cases after the approval from the Rector along with fine.
Student who fails to pay their hostel dues (Rent, Mess etc.) up till 10th of every month. They will pay Rs.100 per day fine after due date.
Student withdrawing from degree program is required to submit clearance form to the Student Affairs Office (Registrar Office). Students who do not follow the process will not be eligible for any refund of fee or security. Refund of any dues (if any) will be in accordance with HEC Refund Policy.
New Students will be entitled to change degree program within four weeks of commencement of classes only once. No extra fee will be charged on this change.
If durations of study in MS, MPhil & PhD programs are extended beyond regular time period, fee for extra semester(s) shall be charged (semester wise) according to the calculation of program fee.
13.1. University/Hostel security will be refundable within two years after issuance of final result notification after due clearance. However competent authority may condone the late submission of application for refund of security.
13.2. If a student withdraws from the academic program, following refund policy of HEC adopted by GIU will be applicable.

13.5. Timeline shall be calculated continuously, covering both weekdays and weekend.
13.6. Full fee of a student who is not promoted to next semester (for which the fee is paid) will be refundable.
13.7. The fee submitted as an examination fee is completely refundable.
13.8. The fee submitted for curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular, sports, tours, field trips activities etc. is completely refundable minus (-) the days a student has availed any of these activities.
13.9. A student expelled from the university due to disciplinary misconduct, shall not be eligible for any refund, except for the refundable Security/Deposit Fee.
13.10. Any Fee, payable at the time of initial application is non-refundable under any circumstances.
13.11. The fee paid as an admission fee is non-refundable.
i. Non-compliance will result in cancellation of admission or withholding of academic records.
ii. Exceptions may be granted only with the approval of the Competent Authority.
