Currently, GIU has more than 10 active student societies, including the Debating and Literary Society, Media, Event & Cultural Society, Sports Society, Rescue & Emergency Response Society, Qirat & Melaad Society, and many more. Students actively participated in the elections, setting an inspiring precedent in the university’s history.
The elections were inaugurated by Dr. Mohsin Ali Cheema (Patron, GIU Societies), Mr. Muhammad Afzal (Executive Director), and Ms. Syeda Fatima Tahira Gillani (Manager, Office of Student Affairs). Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mohsin emphasized that such elections are an excellent opportunity for students to discover their leadership potential, work in diverse societies, and connect with the outer world through extracurricular activities.
