LAHORE, September 10: A three-member delegation from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) visited Green International University (GIU), Lahore, to review the implementation of HEC policies concerning accessibility for students with disabilities, protection against harassment, prevention of tobacco and drug abuse, and fee refund procedures. The HEC delegation comprised Mr. Saleem Ullah Sohoo, Director General Research & Analysis Activities (R&AA); Engr. Kashif Saleem, Expert on Inclusive Education; and Mr. Meer Hassan, Disability Officer of HEI.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the University’s arrangements for ensuring accessibility and examined the implementation of relevant HEC policies and student welfare measures. The team also assessed institutional practices and facilities in accordance with the guidelines and requirements established by HEC. The visit included detailed interactions with university officials regarding the measures being taken to promote an inclusive, safe, and supportive educational environment for students. Various institutional practices and facilities related to accessibility, student protection, welfare, and regulatory compliance were also reviewed.
The visit reflects GIU’s continued commitment to maintaining a student-centered academic environment and implementing policies that promote inclusivity, safety, dignity, and the overall well-being of its students. At the conclusion of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan, Rector, Green International University, presented souvenirs to the HEC delegation as a gesture of appreciation and courtesy. Green International University remains committed to strengthening its institutional practices in line with HEC guidelines and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
