Lahore, Pakistan, Green International University (GIU) proudly hosted the provincial awareness drive for the Punjab Youth Innovation & Incubation Competition 2026, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and research among students. The strategic meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan, Rector of Green International University, to discuss institutional participation and mobilize academic departments for the prestigious provincial competition. The session brought together the University's senior leadership and Heads of Departments, reflecting GIU's collective commitment to promoting a vibrant culture of innovation.

Zia ur Rehman, Head of the Business Incubation Centre (BIC); Dr. Iftikhar, Head of the Department of Law; Dr. Hina Jaffery, Head of Green Business School; Dr. Mueen Ahmad Ch., RPh., Head of Pharmacy; Dr. Abdul Hannan Khan, Head of Computer Sciences; Dr. Asim Ijaz, Head of Public Health; Dr. Muhammad Shafeeq, Head of Islamic Studies; Ms. Naila Jamil, Head of Psychology; Dr. Nasir Iqbal, Head of Medical Laboratory Technology; Ms. Neelam Farheen, Head of Sciences; Ms. Nida Amin, Head of Optometry; Ms. Saima Sajid, Head of English; Dr. Syed Muhammad Yousaf Farooq, Head of Radiography & Imaging Technology; and Dr. Tayyaba Alvi, Head of Nutrition & Dietetics. During the session, Ch. Zia ur Rehman, Head of the Business Incubation Centre, delivered a comprehensive briefing on the objectives, scope, and significance of the Punjab Youth Innovation & Incubation Competition 2026. He highlighted that the competition offers a total prize pool of PKR 2.25 million and is expected to attract participation from more than 80 universities across Punjab, providing students with an exceptional opportunity to showcase innovative ideas and entrepreneurial potential at the provincial level.
The participants were also briefed on the competition timeline for GIU students:
- Registration Deadline: July 17, 2026
- Campus-Level Evaluation: July 20, 2026
- Submission of GIU's Top Three Innovation Ideas to the Punjab Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (CoE-CVE): July 25, 2026
