To facilitate their success, the University provides a wide range of support services, including food assistance, affordable housing options, subsidized transportation, and access to legal aid (through the University’s dedicated Law Department). These interventions ensure that deserving students remain focused on their studies without being overwhelmed by financial or personal hardships. In 2024, the University strengthened its student welfare framework by expanding its need-based support programs, increasing transportation coverage, adding a new building for enhanced accommodation, improving campus meal assistance, and formalizing legal advisory services for financially disadvantaged students. These accomplishments reflect GIU’s ongoing commitment to empowering low-income students to persist, progress, and successfully complete their degrees.
