Academic Tour to Noor Thalassemia Foundation

On Thursday, 20th May 2026, the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences organized an academic tour to Noor Thalassemia Foundation with the objective of enhancing students’ clinical exposure and deepening their understanding of community-based patient care within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting. The visit provided students with valuable practical insights into the management and rehabilitation needs of patients with thalassemia, while also highlighting the importance of compassionate healthcare services, teamwork, and community support in improving patient outcomes. Students had the opportunity to observe clinical practices, interact with healthcare professionals, and gain awareness regarding the challenges faced by patients and caregivers.

The Department extends sincere appreciation to Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan for granting approval for the visit, Prof. Dr. Fahad Tanveer for coordination and guidance, and Dr. Bashir Ahmad for the facilitation, hospitality, and continuous support that contributed to the success of this educational activity.

Such academic engagements play a vital role in bridging theoretical knowledge with clinical and community-based practice, preparing students to become competent and empathetic healthcare professionals.
