Green International University (GIU), Lahore, demonstrates strong commitment to SDG 15 by advancing research on terrestrial ecosystems, conserving biodiversity, and promoting sustainable land management. GIU produces high-quality research on deforestation, soil degradation, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem restoration, with publications consistently appearing in top 10% Scopus-indexed journals, meeting CiteScore benchmarks. Faculty and students collaborate on studies exploring habitat preservation, reforestation, sustainable agriculture, and conservation strategies, achieving strong Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI).
Building upon these achievements, GIU will strengthen research and collaborative initiatives on biodiversity conservation, sustainable land management, and ecosystem restoration, ensuring alignment with UN Targets 15.1, 15.3, and 15.5. The University will enhance community outreach programs, including tree plantation campaigns, soil health initiatives, and educational activities on habitat preservation and endangered species protection.
