So a greater demand for Medical Technologists, who constitute 60% of working of total healthcare team, will be raised to cater patient care needs.
Graduates have a wide choice of practice settings: hospitals, independent laboratories, clinics, public health facilities, forensic crime laboratories, sales and marketing of diagnostic instruments and reagents, federal and state regulatory agencies, and research and development of future clinical tests and instruments. There are numerous opportunities for a student to continue his/her education after completing the BSMLS degree. They can peruse higher education in the field of Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Transfusion Medicine.
