Objectives

The Bachelor of Science in Islamic Sciences is a curriculum designed to meet the needs of the global Islamic community in the future. Its goal is to produce graduates with leadership skills and professional competence, and superior Islamic understanding.

GIU of Lahore hopes that after completing this course, its alumni will make academic contributions to the community's creation of new socioeconomic horizons. Therefore, the academic success of the BS Islamic Sciences programme is envisioned in the following primary aims and objectives:

  • To develop a robust system for creating a new generation of academics dedicated to advancing Islamic culture and civilisation.
  • To develop innovative, creative, and sound professionals who can effectively and efficiently use their expertise.
  • To maintain a consistent academic atmosphere in each subject to achieve higher educational requirements
  • To foster a scholarly mindset and a cooperative effort among graduates to comprehend research based on a genuine desire for knowledge and the authentic spirit of Islamic culture.
  • To foster a climate that promotes prosperity, growth, character development, and professional achievement.
  • To raise public knowledge and encouragement to embrace lifestyles based on global principles of justice, fraternity, and brotherhood via our graduates.

Role and Scope

The bachelor of science in Islamic sciences programme seeks to produce vocationally strong graduates by exploring new areas of operation and creating new work methods. They become eligible for great employment possibilities in both the public and commercial sectors, especially in the following fields, once they are equipped with the ability to utilise contemporary methods and skills:

  • Teaching and character development as a means of developing human resources.
  • The banking industry, namely Islamic banking activities.
  • Promising research and development career.
  • A wide range of socio-religious community services, particularly those provided by non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
  • Advisory and consulting services to both public and private enterprises.
  • A broad range of socioeconomic and commercial management.
