Generative AI Workshop PHEC Explores Innovation | GIU
The “Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education” training workshop, organized by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), was held from May 8–9, 2024, at the Veterinary Academy, UVAS Lahore. Around 67 faculty members from various public and private universities took part in this two-day program.
Dr. Abdul Hannan Khan (Head, Department of Computer Science) and Mr. Shahid Iqbal (Lecturer, Department of Computer Science) represented Green International University at the event. The training focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of generative AI applications in higher education, with emphasis on creative content generation, personalized learning, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence.
The Director of PHEC and the Vice-Chancellor of UVAS presided over the closing ceremony, awarding certificates to participants as part of PHEC’s ongoing faculty development initiatives.
