ADP Rehabilitation Sciences


Objectives

  • Provide students with a foundational understanding of rehabilitation sciences, including anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and therapeutic modalities.
  • Equip students with basic clinical skills and knowledge necessary to assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities and injuries.
  • Train students in the use of rehabilitation equipment, therapeutic exercises, and patient care techniques.
  • Prepare students for further education and specialization in rehabilitation sciences.

Role and Scope

  • Graduates of the ADP in Rehabilitation Sciences work as supportive members of rehabilitation teams, assisting physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals in delivering rehabilitation services.
  • They work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, clinics, sports facilities, and community health organizations, providing hands-on assistance to patients undergoing rehabilitation.
  • Graduates can pursue entry-level positions as Rehabilitation Assistants, Physiotherapy Assistants, Occupational Therapy Assistants, or Rehabilitation Technicians.
  • There is a demand for skilled rehabilitation support staff to assist in the delivery of services to individuals with disabilities, injuries, or chronic conditions.
  • Opportunities for career advancement and specialization exist through further education and training in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or other allied health professions.
